A downloadable game for Windows

ScaleFlip is a very small and basic 4-player party game that crosses board games with the platform fighting game genre. I made this as a small project as a proof of concept as well as something to put on my portfolio! I made it in about 3 months total dev time so please do not expect a very in depth experience with polish and nice graphics and assets. This was simply made for fun and to show off some of my ideas, maybe one day I'll come back and make it into a full game! Regardless of that I hope you can enjoy this with 3 friends and at least have a good half hour of fun!

How to Play

As this game doesn't have a tutorial of any sort I will type out a short guide here:

As you start the game you can decide the amount of rounds, after entering you will be brought to the player select screen. Here you can have everyone join with controllers and select your color! The game will start once 4 players select the "ready" option.

Please note this game is not compatible with online networking and only meant to be played locally, if you wish to play with friends online I highly recommend using Parsec to join the hosting players computer and play with little to no lag (varies with connection).

The goal of ScaleFlip is to make it to the final round with the most Gnat-Gems. The player with the most Gnat-Gems at the end will be determined the winner.

This game has two states, "Board" and "Combat". 

In the Board state, each player will take turns rolling a 6-sided die and moving across the map. The last space you land on will determine the effect:

Shop SpaceGives you a selection of 3 random weapons to buy from.

In the Combat state, a random map will be selected and all four players will have to try and knock the others off and become the last one standing. The more you get hit the higher your "damage percentage" will go, more damage percentage means you fly further when hit. Gnat-Gems and Scalebucks will be distributed based on how far you made it into the match.

And that's about it! I'm sorry this information isn't in the game itself, I gave myself a time limit while making it so some features would have to be cut. Maybe one day I will update it with more polish and mechanics! For now I hope you can enjoy what's there as I am off to work on my next project (hopefully a complete and polished game), stay tuned!
